Where is my data stored?
On our own server in a data centre in Germany. Every business gets its own separate database. Connections are encrypted and data is backed up, encrypted, every night.
Do I need a TSE?
Only if you accept cash. Payments via PayPal, Stripe, card, voucher or credit need no TSE. For cash you sign up for a cloud TSE directly with a provider and enter the access details in your account.
Can my tax adviser work with it?
Yes. Accounting keeps a journal with receipts, provides reports and a GoBD export for tax audits. VAT returns go straight to ELSTER – Equenzo is registered as software for this.
How does AI receipt recognition work?
Equenzo reads receipts, invoices and mail with AI – through your own account with Claude (Anthropic) or OpenAI. You enter the key in the settings and buy credit with one click directly from the provider; the dashboard shows how much is left. Everything else works the same without AI.
Can I use my own e-mail address and website?
Yes. E-mails are sent from your own mailbox, client portal and online booking run under your name. We connect an existing website free of charge.
How long am I tied in?
Monthly plans can be cancelled at the end of each month, yearly plans at the end of the term. You can export your data at any time.
What if something is missing or does not work?
Use “Request or bug” at the bottom right to tell us directly. We develop Equenzo continuously – requests often arrive within a week.
